Mat Pilates works perfectly for the workplace - all you need is some space, comfy workout clothes and your mat. Pilates encourages a mind-body connection where we focus on the precision of the exercises developing core and overall strength, stability, joint mobility, flexibility and better posture. Gráinne holds an Advanced Diploma in Pilates from NTC and is also a qualified BASI Mat Pilates teacher.
Gráinne started attending yoga classes in 2005 in an effort to improve flexibility and range of movement following a knee injury. With time she began to appreciate not just the physical benefits of yoga, but the mental benefits too. Gráinne completed her 200 Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher training at Samyak Yoga in Mysore, India.
She offers office based Hatha Yoga classes encouraging students to focus on breath, core engagement and alignment throughout their yoga poses and including some time for meditation during each class.
HIIT / Bootcamp Class
If something a little more high octane is what you and your colleagues are looking for, a HIIT (high intensity interval training) / bootcamp class could be just the ticket. Each class is different - using a mixture of cardio and strength training and a variety of props, these classes are guaranteed to raise the heart rate and have the muscles singing. Modifications will be offered to ensure all levels of fitness and strength are catered for, allowing everyone a chance to get an energetic, fun and safe workout.
Please note you will need a shower after this class!
